São Paulo vehicle mobility restrictions guide

Hi São Paulo mobilizers!

We've put together a super-helpful crib sheet that summarizes when cars, trucks, and other vehicles are allowed to cruise the streets of São Paulo. It explains the license plate restriction guidelines, outlines which streets are driveable, and details the exceptions.

We think it'll come in handy when you're figuring out the best way to maximize mobility in the city center!

Check it out here: saopaulo-global.devpost.com/details/vehicles.

Still got questions? Give us a shout at support@devpost.com, and we'll get back to you shortly.

One month left – start your draft

There is one month left in Ford's São Paulo Mobility National Challenge. Submissions are due September 8th before 5pm ET.

Start your draft today

Starting a draft is a good way to make sure that your app meets the requirements. There’s nothing worse than getting to the deadline, only to realize that you’re missing a key component. And remember: once you begin a draft, you can save and edit it at any time prior to the submission deadline.

Prepare your video

Don’t forget, your submission must include a video showing your app. Too often, participants leave this video to the…

New bus transit data resource

Hey São Paulo mobilizers,

Just a heads up that we’ve added a new data tool to our Resources page. The Global BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) Data platform aggregates public bus ridership and route data from cities around the world, including São Paulo. Explore stats for each route, including demand during peak hours, speed limit, number of stations, express lanes, and more. The site can be viewed in English or Portuguese, and also has mapping and reporting features.

We hope this will give you some extra ammunition while you conceptualize and start building your mobility apps. If you’ve got questions…

Making a great submission video

We know you’re focused on your app right now, but don't forget about your submission video. It's often the first thing that judges and voters review.

A good video tells the story behind your submission, providing a clear and concise explanation of what your app is and does. Here are some tips and a list of screencasting tools:

  •   Establish your elevator pitch. In the first few seconds of your video, explain why your app is awesome. You can get into the details of how it works later on in the video, but treat the opening seconds of your…
